red mail William Partridge (Jul 09 Red)
Does anyone have any information on William Partridge, according to census records he was born in Hartest in about 1823. In the 1841 census there is no mention of any Partridges in the village, so I assume they must have upped sticks and moved! Can anyone shed any light on this as I would like to find who his parents were! Thanks, Tom.

red mail Debth or Death Family (Jun 07 Red)
I have been trying to find the origin of my family name. It appears that it may have been orginally Death. If so I can trace that name to Hartest Suffolk England as early as the 1500,s They imigrated to the USA via Canada in the 1800s The name seems to have changed to Debth. I'd appreciate any light on this mystery. Thanks in advance!
