My great aunt ELLEN WILLIAMS (Never married)worked in service for the PHIPPS family of HAILEY MANOR,(near WITNEY 1900-1946)Approx., Whilst there she gave birth to a SON named DAVID Lloyd WILLIAMS, I was told by my father, her nephew, that a PHIPPS was responsible,Ellen was told by that family,if she gave DAVID up he would be taken care of !!Provided she did not try to contact him again ,EVER. SHE WAS retired off in 1946 with NOTHING.!! Came to live with her brother in SOUTH MARSTON, ON HER DEATHBED was calling out for DAVID>My father was there! ELLEN LOUISA WILLIAMS died Nov,28 th,1952 aged 72 at St,Mary,s (cottage) DO YOU HAVE A LAD BORN 1900-10 in your LINEAGE BECAUSE I have his WILLIAMS -HUGHES .I still have "TILL THE DOCTOR COMES" (her copy) Inscribed by a PHIPPS family member ,We the family still wonder what happened to DAVID my Uncle ?
