Matthews (Oct 09 Green)
I am looking for information on the Matthews family, who were farm labourers at Great Ashfield. I have all the descendants from John Matthews b. Ashfield 1791 and wife Elizabeth b. Bury St. Edmunds 1796 and hope to go back further. In the 1851 census, they lived at Church Cottage, Great Ashfield. Does anyone have information on this address?

Hi. I'm keen to learn more of the ELMER family who lived in and around Great Ashfield from the 1690s to the 1800s - according to the Tithe Map in the Chrush, at Rookery Farm for a time. All information gratefully received.

Interested in the GEORGE family. Originally from Bacton believe that some became farmers in Ashfield area.
