Kathleen Nelson (Revised Nov 09 Green)
Looking for any info on Kathleen Nelson born Elmhurst Rd, Gosport in 1899 to James Nelson of Gosport and Elizabeth Pearce of Portland, Dorset. Any info very welcome. She was in service in Southport, Cheshire and also spent time in Edmonton, Middlesex in the late 1930's.

PASSELLS (Oct 09 Green)
My 'PASSELLS' family come from Gosport & Portsmouth areas. Way back there was Richard Passells Born 1852 he married Mahala Perriam and they had 10 children, including my Great Grandfather Edward Victor Passells born 1877 in Portsea. He married Ellen Jones and ran their own Fruit & Veg Shop in Charlotte St, Portsmouth. They had 4 Children, Victor born 1903, Ellen born 1906, Alice born 1908 and my Grandfather Francis John Passells (known as Frank) born 1905. He married my Nan Patricia Green (or Pink but that's another story). They had 6 children all born in Portsmouth, Patricia born 1928, Joyce born 1930, Sheila (my Mum) born 1932, Peggy born 1936, Joan born 1940 and Malcolm born 1949. Workman/Russell families in Gosport (Oct 09 Red)
I am trying to connect to the above families. George Workman b c1853 married Elizabeth and had 5 children, Rosina was a daughter b1892 and went on to marry Albert Russell in Pontardawe in 1912. Albert Russell was b c1995 in Gosport. Any info greatly appreciated

Died? Edward born 1811 died 1811, Edward born 1812 died 1871 daniel born 1814 die 1864,Mary born 1817 died 1883 Martha born 1819 died 1825 William born 1821 died 1908. William married Emma Brooks born 1831 Fort Beaufort Cape of Good Hope Africa died Nov 1883 Forton Gosport. Parents of Williams Augustus born 1849 Grahams Town S Africa, Elizabeth Saenna TUCKER born 1851 King William Town S. Africa died Exeter 1885. Ernest Fiztroy Harry TUCKER born 1862 Shorncliffe Camp KENT died 1940 Titchfield Hants. Ernest and Dora had 8 children, 2 of which died in infancy, Ida Dorothy born 1893 died Jan 31st 1976 was my grandmother. Is there any connection to the Gosport/ Fareham TUCKER's as Ida and some of her siblings were born in Gosport and I am wondering if they moved to the area because there was a pre existing family connection. Can anyone help? Are there any TUCKER's today in GOsport that may know of a connection? Also twins run in the family and I have read of other twins in other TUCKER families, this seems to indicate to me a connection?

They had the following children: Robert Ralph b=1845 William Camper b=1846 George Bembridge b=abt 1849 Frank Ernest b=1848 Shredden Robertson b= abt 1851 Robert Storey died and his wife Mary Ann then married John Earle. Relative would like to contact relatives of these family members.

Micheal John Costello Convict Prison Warder (Dec 08 Red)
I am confused about my grandfather Alexander John Costello. The 1881 Census shows he was born 1853 Gosport..1891 B 1853 Sydenham. 1901 census B 1855 Gosport. A birth cert states B 1856 Gosport to Micheal John Costello Warder Convict Prison and Ann Maria Costello late Andrews formerly Pigden. On his marriage to Martha Winfield the certificate has his father as Jerermiah Costello (deceased )! Do I have the wrong birth cert, or is the marriage cert misleading? I would also be interested in any information about a Convict prison or ship in Gosport. Help! Thank you.
