red mail Charlton/Gofton/Blackett/Bainbridge/Thirlaway
I have a copy of a marriage by Banns for Anthony (Ralph) Blackett Charlton and Mary Ann Bainbridge dated Sept 30, 1844 in the parish of Whickham in the County of Durham. Fathers names are Edward Charlton (Sailor) and John Bainbridge (Keelman). Harry and Jane Bainbridge were the witnesses. I have since found that Edward married Elizabeth Blackett in 1810. Anthony had a son Edward (born 1852 in Gateshead, Whickham, Durham) who sailed to Canada shortly after his marriage to Mary Scafe Thirlaway in (1875). Anyone with any information about the extended families of any of these families I would be very grateful to correspond with you. Val
