I am seeking any information on my Grandfathers family from the Gateshead Tyne and Wear area, if you have any information please contact me. He married Dorothy Ellen Hallmark, they had two children, Jennifer 1948 and John.He as in the British Army WWII, and retired to Aldershot, later Blacon Chester. Thank you for any information you may have. He had three sisters, older, one of whom I believe moved to the Chicago area.

I am researching my great grandfather Arthur Robson, who was married to Sarah Maughan. They lived at 7 Liddell Terrace Gateshead, and he died at that address in 1864. Sarah then emigrated to Australia with her children. Arthur's parents were James Robson and Susannah (nee Gray). I believe James was born in Scotland,around 1786 as per a census report in 1841. He was a Ships Broker, and he and Susannah were married 1810 in Kirklinton, Cumberland. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello I have just found I have a new family, in my Family History, My Grandfather at the age of one year old was George Kenney born 1870 his mother was a widow and married a Thomas Close and George took the Close name I am not sure when he took on is original name of kenny the E was left off, His mother Ann, then had more children.Hannah Close born 1872,Mary A Close born 1872,Henry Close 1875, Sarah Close 1874 Thomas Close had Two sons from his first wife James Close born 1864 and Thomas Close born 1862 Thank you

I am looking for any info on William James Graham family, he was born c1900. He married a Margaret Muriel Smith in 1925 at Gateshead reg office and died in 1951 in Leeds. He had a son Kenneth Graham born in Simonside Lodge and I believe this is in the Jarrow area. At the time of their marriage William James was living at 23 Windermere Street, Gateshead and Margaret (known as Madge) at 34 Park Avenue, Whitley Bay. Williams father was William John Graham and in 1925 he was a funeral furnisher and it has been said that he bought Simonside Hall, wether this is true I don't know. Any info on these Grahams would be appreciated.
