Would there be anyone decended from this family still living in the area. They were living at Heworth and Felling Shore. As far as I can go back Gavin and Margaret Sherrick had a son called Alexander who went on to marry Sarah Heron. Any info would be appreciated.Gavin Sherrick was born in Ireland in 1827.

Searching for information on g.g. grandfather George Reed Hedley, son of John Hedley, born c1821 in Gateshead. In 1844 he married Mary Hobson at Monkwearmouth, Durham. Known children of the marriage are Elizabeth Ann, John H, George, Mary, Sarah Jane and James. In 1851 they were living in Monkwearmouth, then relocated to Hartlepool. I have the history of Elizabeth Ann, but nothing of the rest of the family. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Gateshead on Tyne but not sure if they were married before leaving Ireland 3 daughters ELIZA 1872 KATE(catherine)1880 ELLEN/NELLIE c1890 and DANIEL 1878 died 1894 The family stayed in Gatehead till death of each.
