born Gatcombe in 1805. Went on to marry Nicholas Bagwell Smith. Do you have any parish records that have a Martha born in 1805. She died in 1845.

Lane (8/02-10/03 Red)
Am seeking information re the Lane families living in and around Gatcombe.

Nobbs (8/02-10/03 Red)
Joseph Nobbs married Jane Iles at Gatcombe IOW in 1696. They were both described as of Gatcombe, we cannot find any Nobbs on the Isle of Wight before this date - where did they come from? Norfolk seems the largest group of Nobbs perhaps they came from there?
