green mail Information required about Cuthbert Edward Bradley and Cuthbert Bede (Dec 06 Green)
Cuthbert Edward Bradley (born 2nd April 1861) was an artist and also wrote hunting books. He lived at Folkingham and I believe he may have been the Vicar there. His Father was a victorian writer known by the name of Cuthbert Bede for his books. His real name was Edward Bradley. I have photos of Cuthbert Bede and one of Cuthbert Bradley with his brothers Henry Waldron Bradley (born April 14th 1863) and William Hancocks Bradley (Born March 31st 1862). Any further information would be great. Please contact me if you are interested in this family at all.

red mail Stredder (Apr 06 Red)
Josiah Stredder (b.about 1728, Boston, Lincs) and his son, also Josiah, (b. about 1756, Boston) were bakers at 17 Market Place, from about 1759 to 1820 - currently Quaintways Teashop. They gave rise to several generations of Stredders in Folkingham. Children of the elder Josiah, born between about 1754 and 1769 include: Suzannah, Holms, Ann, William, John, Henry Money, Dinah. The following are also said to be the children of the elder, but probably of the young Josiah born between 1781 and 1806: John, Hannah, Frances(Fanny), Edmund, James, Sarah. Many of the latter's offspring moved to Liverpool, Nottingham, or London. Some crossed the Atlantic. Many were master builders.
