I am seeking information on my great/great grandfather, Thomas Smith, born in Felsham in 1797. He married Sarah? and lived in Stoke by Nayland where his children were all born including my great grandmother Thirza Smith/ Warren in 1838

Does anyone have any details on Sarah Thompson, born about 1760? She married Edmund Gould about 1780, and had children born in Felsham. Does anyone know if she was from Felsham too?

GOULD family (Feb 06 Red)
Looking for ancestors of MARTHA GOULD, from FELSHAM, born in late 1700s, who married a JAMES CRISSELL/CHRYSAL etc. from LONG MELFORD. I have found 2 possibles on the IGI website. (1)MARTHA GOOLD b. 1782, parents Thomas Goold and Ann.(2) MARTHA GOOLD born 1785, parents EDMUND GOOLD and SARAH THOMPSON. If anyone has access to Suffolk parish records, could they look up her marriage and see who her father was? Many thanks. Or is anyone else out there searching for the same family?

Welbelly Now Whalebelly (Revised Feb 09 Green)
Robert WELBELLY was settled in Felsham and paying his taxes in 1524. Has anyone found any reference to this family name anywhere else in the area. For the next 200 years the family were mostly in Bury, Thetford, Pakenham and Barnham. I am looking for 'strays' Any help much appreciated. JW 2/2009
