James and Emily Ann Douglas (Nov 09 Green)
I am searching for information or relatives of James and Emily Douglas. They were both born in Egham about 1841/2 but moved to Torquay where they owned a tobacconist shop on the seafront. They had several children, all born in Torquay, Elizabeth E, James H, William B, George Reginald, Charles H, Fanny L, Ethel M. There is also an aunt Mary Douglas, maiden name unknown, born around 1811. My husband is a direct descendant of James and Emily and we would love to hear any information or connections to other family. Hope to hear !

Am looking for any information about John Cheeseman who married Elizabeth Blay (nee Wellbelove) in Nov 1794. They lived in Egham Wick and had 8 children. I do not know where he came from or have any information about his parents/relatives. He died 1828/9. Any help would be appreciated.

PAGEANT OF RUNNYMEDE 1936 (Jul 07 Green)
Would anyone be interested in a copy of the souvenir programme/book of the Runnymede Pageant held from 9-16 June 1936? Its quite a substantial book crammed with details of the programme, names of all the hundrens of local people and groups from Woking, Windsor,Staines, Ashford,Chertsey, Camberley and Egham who took part with lots of photographs and local advertisments. I would be happy to donate it to anyone who is interested.

Iam searching for information about the family of James Rose christened in Egham in1836. His parents were James Rose and Mary Ann.He is listed in the 1881, 1891, and1901 censuses in Kent, but was in the Royal marines before that. I cant find him in the1841, or1851 census in Egham .There are lots of Roses but so far none tallies exactly with the info I have. if anyone has any info I would be delighted to receive it. A bastardy order was set against William Lee a waiter at the King's Head in Egham. His daughter was Sarah Barton, mother Rebecca Barton of Odiham. Date 1830 +/-. I have found a William Lee in Cookham, baker also a retired publican in Windsor, dates seem to match. Any info would be helpful.
