Does anyone have a James Barker on their family tree, born abt 1818 in Eaton Socon.Possible parents William and Mary Barker. James moved to Hertfordshire and worked on the Wall Hall estate near Aldenham.He may have worked at Tempsford Hall prior to this.I want to find his early origins in Bedfordshire and can share info with anyone who is interested as James lived to a good age and I have details of him and most of his family up to the 1900's in Herts.

My Great-Grandfather was Robert Flanders (1807 - 1847). He was the sexton and churchwarden at Eaton Socon. He was baptised at the old meeting house in St Neots, but the only parental entry is his father William. Who was his mother? Any info. would be fantastic.

Lived in Eaton Socon between 1765 and 1768 when William died. What happened to his widow? Did she remarry locally? They had just 2 children - John in 1765(my 4x gt g'father) and William in 1767 who died at the age of 2.
