HAINES and associated families
(Jul 05
Red)
We have a Henry HAINES and Frances BAINTON who married 23 Apr 1733 at East Hagbourne, Berkshire, but who then lived at East Ilsley. They had at least ten children at East Ilsley between 1733 and 1756 - some of these children married into the BOOKER, BANNISTER, HAYNE and HEARNE families. Always happy to share information with other researchers.

TREADWELL & DANCE families - 1750+
(Dec 04
Red)
Can anyone help please - I need help with my Treadwell/Dance ancestors who lived in East Ilsley in the 18th century. They were BENJAMIN TREADWELL and SARAH DANCE, and they married at East Ilsley (both stated 'of this parish' 15 June 1769. I cannot find birth entries for either - has anyone come across them. I have found a SARAH DANCE bap. Hurstbourne Tarrant, Hants in 1753 but if this is our Sarah, what might she be doing in East Ilsley. Does anyone know the history of the village, was there any industry there that brought people in from other villages? Thanks in anticipation of a reply.
