I have been looking for a long time for Charles Dawson's parents, I believe he came from East Dereham, Norfolk around the 1850's. It is clear the family travelled the country and spent some time in Glossop and also Ulverston and Barrow in Furness. Any help would be appreciated. Have come up against a brick wall.

I am researching my family history & would appreciate any information relating to the Cracknell family. In the 1881 Census, my great grandparents, Jabes & Frances Cracknell, were living in Theatre Street.He was employed as an ostler in a local inn. Any information about Theatre Street & any local inns where an ostler may have been employed would be very welcome. By 1891, Frances was widowed & living in Brock`s Yard, London Road. Does this place still exist? By 1901, Frances was living in Baxter`s Row.

I am looking for info on my Scarning/East Dereham ancestors. ROBERT QUADLING was born in 1816 in East Dereham. He married MARY ANN in 1836 in East Dereham (she died in Scarning in 1875). Children: SARAH ANN (1841 Scarning) and JAMES (1846 Scarning). In 1851 they were living at 40 Podmore Common, Scarning. James married KEZIA HEYHOE who was born in 1846 in East Dereham, the daughter of JAMES HEYHOE (c 1816 East Dereham) and MARY HALL (1812 Letton).

I am looking for information on my Grandfather Walter Harold Churchard who lived in Baxters Row. He was in the Suffolk Regiment in the First World War. He moved to Dereham after the war and worked as a Painter & Decorator with Godfrey Thompson. He was also a member of the British Legion. He died aged 64 in 1952/53. I would also like some information on Flossie May Churchard,may also have been called Stubbs at one time I am not certain. I am not sure what relation she was to my Grandad. She used to run the Rose Inn also in Baxters Row, from 1938 up until possibly the 1950s.

SUSANNAH DITCHMAN WACEY who married RICHARD LISTER. susannah was born c1813, married c1833 london. also looking for ROBERT WACEY who married MARY ANN CLAYDEN LISTER, Robert was born c1811 and married 1835 tottenham, middlesex. the father edward wacey born c1785 east dereham married Ann Ditchman in 1807 East dereham. any other info or links, no matter how small would be very much appreciated. i am also looking for richard LISTER c1813 and Mary ann clayden LISTER's family.
