red mail Chilcott - Blacksmith of Duverton (Aug 09 Red)
I am researching the Chilcott's of Dulverton - a family of blacksmiths. James (DOB 1782), son John (DOB 1825) and grandson James (DOB 1847). This James met a girl (Mary Ann Greggor)from the Isle of Man, married her in Dulverton in 1870, then after a few years in Bristol, he retuned to the Isle of Man where he raised his family. Can anyone shed any light on how a Manx maid might be in Dulverton?

red mail Samuel and Robert Bryant (Sep 08 Red)
I have a lot of information now about my ancestors: Samuel Bryant: chr 30/11/1823 Dulverton, Somerset Robert Bryant: chr 26/3/1826 Dulverton. Their parents: Robert Bryant, labourer, and Charlotte Wescott. I think Robert might have remarried Elizabeth ?Dunscombe but not proven yet. If that is so, he was born about 1789 Kingsbrompton (Brompton Regis), Somerset. They lived at 7 Lady Street, Dulverton in 1861 census. Please contact me if want or have any further information.
