I am researching Robert Rickard born Dinton 1809 and married to Ann Stevens born Aston Rowant 1829. In 1851 They were living with their 7 children at 135 Spring Hill, Dinton. I notice on the old map there is a Spring Hill Farm. As a farm labourer would this be as cottage on the farm? Does this still exist? On the 1861 census he has moved to the cotton town of Preston in Lancashire. I would like to know why the move from farming to weaving? Hope someone out there can shed light on these questions.

i am looking for any information on sarah clark(e), who was a foundling in the aylesbury workhouse and worked there till she married james welford, from dinton, the workhouse gardener. records say she was born in haddenham in 1843. she could never find details of her parents. they moved to yorkshire looking for work, and that's where my grandfather was born.

red mail PENNs in Dinton?, Bucks (Sep 06 Red)
Am looking for PENN family in Buckinghamshire. CALEB Penn stated Dinton as his place of residence when he married Mary FINCH in Bierton 1838. He had been widowed twice, both marriages took place in Stone, BKM, and his 2nd wife, Caroline THOMPSON died in Dinton in 1835. Caleb Penn died in an "accident" in Walton nr Aylesbury (he was a Sawyer at the time) on 6th July 1843. Can I get hold of a newspaper for this time? Does any one have any info or search tips?

Traced back ancestory to a Danil Woodbridge and and Alice Hedges, both born about 1762 and married in 1783. Children: William, Joseph, Thomas, John, Sarah,James and Elizabeth. Willima was married to an Amelia King, born maybe 1784 in Dinton. Can't get any further back that Daniel. Any one any ideas?
