red mail blackmore, jewell (Aug 08 Red)
on the 1901 census my great-nan was annie jewel, she married a william blackmore. annie is listed as being born in devonport in 1867, talking to my nan (annie's grandaughter) she had a brother called jack. dont know of any other brothers or sisters. any info on annie would really help me to try and do my family tree. jack doesn't come up on 1901 census, so assume he may have been born later, info off my nan is :- he became an admiral and went down with his ship, an uncle heard he was killed at the battle of jutland 1914-1918. not sure which is right, if any. there was a picture of him in his admiral uniform in my nan's mothers house but when she passed away she doesn't know who had it. any help would be grateful. thanks in advance. allison
