Searching info on Maslins of dartmouth.John t maslin was chief boatman for dartmouth customs in the 1891 census.Living Above town?.St petrox as a widower then.With children henry,george,ellick?,and possibly mary.He had been married to mary churcher,who died early in 1891.I think he remarried and went to torquay in the 1901 census.Where was the coastguard station in dartmouth then.Thanks for helping.Rosalind.

I am a little stuck. I have a Robert Goodyear, a Shipwright living in Dartmouth married to a Sarah Punchard in 1822. I need to find out anything about Robert. I believe he was born around 1795 but only know he was born in Devon. I do not know where. I have him on 1841 census, but not on 1851. Can anyone help?

Thomas Spendlow(e), Jane Harris (Feb 07 Green)
Thomas Spendlow and Jane Harris were married in Saint Saviour, Dartmouth in 1813. They had at least two sons, Thomas Harris Spendlow (1814) and James (1815). Thomas Harris' eldest daughter Fanny Ann Batchelor is my great g'mother. Would like to correspond with anyone with an interest in this family.

Born 1800 in Dartsmouth and married to Mary Fisher in 1824, moved to Guernsey Island and emigrated to South Australia on the Moffatt in 1839. Phillip was a cordwainer like his father. Their son, Elkanah, born in 1831 before Mary died in 1845 and Phillip re-married to Susannah Cock (nee Teague of Redruth, Cornwall)in 1852, is my great grandfather and I am interested in any information on this family before I visit Devon in May 2007. Would love to make contact with any Langmeads in Devon or Cornwall.

loking for detail on a mary bate who lived in southtown dartmouth in the mid 1800's. Believed to be the widow of a seafarer. Probably orginated from London or Kent (children baptised in Kent). Had at least one son living in Chile - possibly a chemist or ships doctor. Any details welcome

Henry P married Elizabeth Ching @ Stoke Fleming 5.11.1751. His 9 children moved to nearby Dartmouth by degrees. George (parish: Townstal St.Clement, D'mth) migrated to Liverpool between 1826 and 1841. George Gilbert P, his grandson, was born in Devon, lived as a shipwright in Liverpool, died in a lunatic asylum in Wivelsfield Sussex 1900. Information on this or on Petherbridges before and since?
