I'm looking for information about Robert (Bob) CRAIG who was a professional footballer in the 40s-early 60s. Born in Consett, Durham in 1928, he played for Sunderland in the Football League in the late 40s/early 50s and then for Headington (now Oxford United) and Bedford Town in the Southern League up to 1961. I believe he lived in the Oxford area but not sure exactly where. If you are Bob Craig or he is was your dad/grandad/relative or friend, I'd be glad to hear from you in connection with a history of Bedford Town FC that I'm currently compiling.

I am trying to find parents of Catherine Welsh b 1865 Burham father was Thomas. She married Patrick Gorman from Ireland had 3 children Annie 1884 Thomas 1886 Catherine 1888 moved to Bolton and had 2 more, John 1890 and Elizabeth 1893. Trying to trace information on a family called Corr or Cur. John Cur was the father and his daughter called Susanna was born in Consett in 1856. Two further children called Daniel and Patrick were born in Ireland in 1861 and 1865. Susanna Corr married a Thomas Gilbert born in Callington, Cornwall in Middlesbrough on 30 May 1876.
