green mail Clifford and Tagg families - Cholsey 1840-60 (ish) (Jul 09 Green)
My great grandmother's birth certificate gives her father as John Tagg and her mother as Elizabeth Tagg formerly Clifford. I have found John and Elizabeth in the 61, 71 and 81 census returns. John states he was born White Waltham/Waltham St. Lawrence, while Elizabeth consistently gives Cholsey as her place of birth. Trouble is, I can't find either of them in the 41 or 51 census. If anyone has any info, I'd be most grateful to recieve it.
