Hello, I'm tring to find out if Private 17542 Joseph Henry Rumble of the 8th Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, who died of wounds in the Balkans on 18th September 1918, is part of my Rumble family of Buckhurst Hill, Chingford, Loughton and Epping. On the War Memorial, it says that his parents were J & E Rumble of 45 Salisbury Road, South Chingford. Can anyone give me further information on this family, please? Many thanks!

I am seeking to locate the position of, or find any information at all on Chingford Hall Farm, where my GGGG Grandfather Jeremiah Humphreys (born circa 1791) was a farmer of some 450 acres. He lived at the farm, together with his wife Jane nee Barnet/Barnard, and subsequently his son James (born circa 1819), who seems to have taken over the farm after 1855 and still farmed the land in 1871, plus other son Edward born circa 1826 and his daughter Elizabeth born circa 1821. Any information, or photos, would be gratefully welcomed, as would correspondence with any connected persons.

I'm looking for information on Arthur Rumble (born 1913), a cousin of my grandfather, John Thomas Rumble (1905-1969). His parents were Frank and Lottie (Charlotte). Frank worked at the Royal Small Arms factory at Enfield Lock. Arthur was born at Blackthorn Cottage, Low Street, Chingford. They lived at Scholars Road when Arthur was a boy.
