I am looking for info on the family of Joseph Wills, who in the 1881 Census is 39 years old and living in Mountain Street, Chilham with his wife Anne, 37, and children Ada 5, Annie 13, Charles 11, Clara 8, and an Emily Wills whose age is not listed. Joseph is listed as being a Carpenter. Ada may be my grandmother. My father was born in the Isle of Thanet Workhouse at Minster in 1915 to an Ada Wills (born 6.9.77.or.78). He was subsequently adopted and only saw Ada once, as a teenager. He believed she went on to have another boy, possibly called Victor. I do not know yet if I am on the right track, so any info could help me check this out and either confirm or discount this possibility.

Can anyone tell me more about Sir Anthony Palmer who was buried in Chilham with his wife Margaret Digges.I know most of the history of the Digges of Chilham but am looking mainly at Sir Anthony and his roots.I know he was the son of John of Hartlip who was in turn the brother of William of Snodland.This was around the latter half of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century.

I am keen to find any photographs of the Owen family of Chilham for my family history. James Owen born 1835 was a gardener at Chilham Castle and also a nurseyman.The family lived at Redthorn Cottage.He was burried at Chilham in 1904.
