Sir William Perkins's School
(Jun 09 Green)
My grandfather was a teacher, possibly head, at the school 1880 - 1890. The school has no records going back that far and I would like to know some details. His children were born while he was there and he gave his address as the school from which I assume he lived 'on the premises'. His name was James Sinkings and he came from Devon. I would appreciate any information however small. Thanks in advance.

Thomas Gillham
(Jan 09 Green)
I'm looking for information on my grandmother's elder brother, Thomas Gillham (or Gilham), who was born in the Chertsey area c1881. I've traced birth references for her other siblings, but this one eludes me! Gran was the youngest of 13. Their father was Henry Gillham of Horsell and their mother was Mary Tillier of Brox. The family moved to Framfield, Sussex c1891. By the 1901 Census, they'd moved to Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. Henry, George, Thomas and Harry worked in the local nursery industry there. I'd also like to know if Thomas married.
Many thanks.

Searching for O'Sullivan links in England.
(Aug 08
Red)
I am researching my family tree and have come across what may be a relative called Hugh O'Sullivan born in 1914 in Chertsey. During the war in 1942 he was an aircraft fitter. In 1939 he worked in the Kingsway Hotel, Bloomsbury as a porter. Parents- William and ? O'Sullivan (nee Campbell,) William's profession was listed as a journeyman baker.
This Hugh migrated to New York, via Southampton in 1948 if it is the same person!

STATION ROAD
(Apr 08
Red)
I am looking for the history of my house and hopefully any photos. The road seems to have always been here but was prehaps divided at some point? I would love to recieve any information I have lived in Chertsey all my life and this is one of the roads that seemingly has no recorded history although at on etime it was off the main route to london and a thriving high street- surely someone knows?
