Joseph Smith Bn.1798 in Chedworth. Married a Betty (Elizabeth) Sly 20th.Dec.1819. They had 10 children, I am looking for descendants of the third child Charles Bn.1824 Charles and his father Joseph were Stone Masons. Charles married a Sophia Spruce in 1843 and as to the 1881 census were living in Cheltenham with their 3 children :- Emily Bn.1864 a domestic servant, Barney Bn.1866 a Porter and Fanny Bn.1870 a Scholar. I am tracing my fathers family tree and am interested to find any information regarding the Keene family from Chedworth area. Cornelious Keen is my gt,gt, gt grandfather...( think thats enough gts but not sure) his daughter Julia Elllen Keene married Edwin Miles and they had a son Arthur along with numerous other children. The Harvey Family (Dec 04 Red)
My paternal Great Grandmother, was before her marriage Polly Harvey. I have a photograph which I am told shows her parents, with her and Frank and Alfred at Chedworth, around 1895. Polly married William Severn on May 5th 1889 at around the age of 23 years, having been born in 1865. Also later photograph copies of Alf Harvey at chedworth with his wife.
