In 1778 a Mr William Baker took out a writ to evict the 5 daughters of John & Elizabeth West from their homes in Tiddington and Long Crendon. Rebecca & John Windover, Frances & Charles Dodwell, Mary & James Buckle, Ann & John Eyres being the defornicants. Can anyone help with explaing what was going on ?

Has anyone got any HORSEMAN in their research, originating in Towersey? I am back to my 10th gt grandfather John HORSEMAN who died there in 1629. He was married to Elenor (surname unknown). The only child I know of is John 1590-1680. He married Elizabeth SMITH, in 1631 in Thame.

I am looking for information about my great x3 grandmother's family. Sarah was born in Haddenham in 1804 to Richard and Jane nee Bacon. I know her father was a shoemaker and that Sarah had 8 siblings. Sarah married Thomas Stevens in 1824 in Aylesbury. They lived for some time in Ducks Lane Haddenham - I suspect with her parents. Sarah and Thomas migrated to Australia with their 7 children in 1848. Any information about her siblings and her parents will be gratefully received.

He was said to be a Master of Languages teaching at Westminster College {this college has no record of him neither as staff nor pupil}. His daughter was Sarah Jane Howes {nee Bradbury} Sarah was born in 1840.

I am trying to trace Annie North, widow aged 56 on 1911 census. I cannot find out a time when she died. I do not know if she moved to another district, or died, or re-married. The trail just goes cold..!! Annies son Henry Thomas (age 15) and grand daughter Clara (age 16) similarly I do not know what happened to them, and would like to find out further info.
