William Inglis was born circa 1782 to Wm Inglis & Jean Story/Storrie. He went on to marry Agnes Tweedie circa 1803. They had numerous family all of whom were born in Carnwath:
Wm born 1804 who married Janet Fell (Lesmahagow & Wishaw)
Robert born 1810 who married Jane Renwick (Carnwath)
James born 1815 who married Margaret Thorburn (Stonehouse)
Andrew born 1818 who married Helen Lithgow (Currie)
Margaret born 1822 who married Henry Neil (Shotts & Newmains)
Jane Inglis born 1825 who married Alexander Hay (Carnwath & Morningside, near Newmains)
Most of these families did not remain in Carnwath but were scattered throughout Lanarkshire. I would like to hear from anyone who has an interest in the above families and would like to share information.
