red mail Spurling, Palmer, Mayhew, Olden, Alden (Aug 06 Red)
William Spurling married Mary Alden (or Olden or similar) & they lived at Burston Hall. Daughter Rebecca married a William Spurling of Worlingworth, SFK at Burston Hall, settling at W'worth and raising many children there. Several died and are buried at St. Mary's church, W'worth. Rebecca & her William Spurling (son of Wlm Spurling & Phyllis Selsby) emigrated to Port Phillip (Melbourne) Australia in 1853 along with the remaining children aboard "Northumbria" and settled at Hawthorn, Victoria. One son, Wlm Spurling, had emigrated to Kilmore, Victoria, Australia with his cousin Leonard Palmer (from NFK) in 1849/50. Wlm & Rebecca and spinster daughter Ellen are buried together at Boroondara Cemetery, Kew, Victoria. Rebecca died aged 104 years. I descend from Rebecca & Wlm's son Selby Jeremiah who married in Western Australia and who died at Roebourne (W.A.)

His wife was Mary Ann Boast before she married and she died in 1939. We would like to hear from anyone interested in this story; or this time; or the Wilby family.
