More O'Reilly's,Sullivans+ Sweeney & Costello
(Nov 09 Green)
See Previous entry re John O'Reilly( c.1855-1907) & Ellen O'Reilly nee Sullivan (c.1858-1933) married Tralee c. 1877.They had a son Michael b. c.May 1878 in Co. Kerry, who died soon after they arrived in Australia in about June 1879.
I am trying to find info on another O'Reilly family from somewhere in Co. Kerry who are probably related, as his parents are also John & Bridget but the mothers' maiden name is not given. Should be Costello. Michael O'Reilly (c.1859-1911) came to Australia maybe 1881 & married Margaret Sweeney (c.1860-1937) from Ireland in Sydney 1883. Interesting to find her parents were Dennis Sweeney & Ellen Sullivan. Margaret also appears to have 2 sisters who came out to Australia soon after her in 1880. They are Ellen & Mary. Ellen married Lawrence Donovan & Mary Thomas Carlton. Seems to be relatives in U.S. too. Anybody know anything about these families? Thanks Rose

LOOKING FOR PRENDERGAST AND GRIFFIN
(Aug 09
Red)
I have hit a brick wall in searching for my great grandparents' roots. I believe my great grandfather, Michael Prendergast, born about 1845, lived in the Tralee Area, possibly Farmers Bridge. His father was John Prendergast. Michael emigrated to England in the 1860's and there married (in 1867) Margaret Griffin (daughter of Dennis Griffin) who I believe also came from the Tralee Area. Also interests in Breen. Any information would be gratefully received.P

One of the daughters, my Mum, Ellen Ferris was one of the children. Any information about this family, and life back then would be well received.
