Morrow, Robert and Lucinda
(Feb 08
Red)
Robert Morrow, (father is listed as William in emigration records) born Ramelton, Donegal, Ireland c. 1820s, married Lucinda Maguiness, 1848 Strabane. By 1855. they had emigrated to Queensland Australia. Here they were joined the next year by Lucindas mother, Margaret nee Blair. Lucinda and Robert produced a largish family about 8 children, who in turn produced largish families, so that I sometimes think that I am related to everyone in Queensland. Are there any cousins four times removed or so, still there with family stories about the Robert who went to Australia. The clues are that they were protestant (CofE). Lucindas mother, known in the family as old Mrs. Maguiness, was Congregational. Robert was listed as having been a gardener. Rebel Morrow, an Australian eventer is also descended from Robert and Lucinda Morrow. My daughter Lucinda, B 1984, and I would love to find out more, and can share the family stories from Australia. I have photos of Robert and Lucinda, taken in old age.
