William Ward took up a lease in the Townland of Rathwood, Civil Parish of Abington, County Limerick, Ireland some time prior to 1815. He is believed to have had 4 sons: William, John, Thomas and Michael. There are very few other Wards in Abington, hence if you are descendant from a Ward from Abington then you are likely to be related to this family.
