Mace, Daniel
(Apr 07
Red)
I am looking for any information or connection with Daniel MACE, b. abt 1801 in Brigstock, Northamptonshire. He married Elizabeth CALLAWAY 28 January 1830 at Weedon Bec; they had 7 children: Elizabeth (b. 8 May 1832), Sarah (b. c. 1835 in Weedon Bec), Daniel (b. 21 January 1837 in Leamington Priors), Mary (b. c. 1840 in Weedon Bec), John (b. c. 1842 in Weedon Bec), Thomas (b. c. 1847 in Kensall Town), and Joshua (b. c. 1850 in Braunston, Northamptonshire). Daniel MACE was a carpenter by trade, and in the 1851 census, was living with his family in Aston, Warwickshire. I would be interested in exchanging information with anyone who is researching this family.

Thomas Stanyarne ca. 1630 - 1683 (Gregorian)
(Feb 05 Green)
Thomas Stanyarne came from Brigstock in Northamptonshire to Charles Town (Charleston, SC)in May 1675, probably living for a period in Barbados before his arrival in South Carolina. His wife's name was Mary and she also may have come from Brigstock. Given the dates and region, it seems possible that he was obliged to emigrate after the collapse of the republic and the restoration of the British monarchy in 1660, though this is pure speculation. He seems to have been an emigrant ancestor for a large number of South Carolina descendants, though not all the genealogical lines are unambiguously derived, as far as I am aware. (Parish records for Brigstock at this time show Stanion as a local family name, though the Stanyarne spelling variant barely features.) I'd welcome the opportunity to exchange genealogical knowledge on the Stanyarnes from Brigstock.

Brigstock
(8/02-10/03
Red)
I am descended from Matthew Burdett of Brigstock and have a record of his arrival in Australia on the "British Sovereign" in 1847 with his wife Zillah and children Avery, John, Sarah and 4 other children whose names were not given but furtherinfo suggest 2 of them were Francis and Louisa. I believe there were 2 other daughters Ann and Eliza. Is there any way that someone can look up and see if there is a record of Ann being born about 1843 and Eliza in about 1846 in Brigstock? It would be much appreciated!
