red mail Joseph Vernon (Dec 08 Red)
Anyone have any information on Joseph Vernon, bricklayer born at Brailsford around 1789/90? Have found a listing in 1841 & 1851 census at Quarndon. He's living with an Ellen Stone, servant, but she is listed as unmarried & he is listed as married. Interestingly I have found a Hannah Vernon in these 2 census living in Alton, Staffordshire & in 1851 she is listed as married & a bricklayer's wife with no husband present. My ancestor Thomas was born at Rocester, Staffordshire. On his marriage record his father is listed is Joseph, bricklayer.
