red mail Davis family, Bradford on Avon (Jul 08 Red)
Hi - I'm lookin for information about a Davis family who lived in Bradford on Avon. I believe I may have traced a distant relative called Samuel Davis, who I think was born 1792 approx. I beleive this Samuel Davis moved to Bath, to the Walcot district and settled there where the Davis family lived for many years. I could be totally wrong though. This Samuel Davis may not even be connected but I'd love to hear from anyone who has any info on Davis family from Bradford on Avon, especially if you know of a Samuel Davis who moved to Bath. I think his son was a George Davis who married twice (Elizabeth Rendall, Mary Anne Bolwell), and subsequent generations lived for many years lived 65 Avon Street, Walcot, Bath. If anyone is researching Davis from Bradford on Avon, and feel there could be a connection there, please give me a shout, Thanks

green mail HILLIER:- Braford on Avon. (Dec 07 Green)
I am seeking information on Maria HILLIER my GGGt Grandmother born c 1835 in or near Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. She married James LANE of Englishcombe, at the Vinyards Chapel at Bath in June 1857. Though she is featured in the census 1871 through to 1901 I can find no details of her parents etc. other than her marriage Cert shows her deceased fathers name was Samuel and he was a Clothier Journeyman believed to have come from Bradford. If anyone has any clues I would be grateful.
