st johns/kitwood boys,skirbeck rd,chemical spill!!
(Aug 09
Red)
A issue has come to my attention which ive found i need to research,my father alan hardwick attended st john`s school which closed in 1954 as it moved to mill rd then called kitwood boys, according to my info my father was very concerned, most, if not all of his class mates by 1980,had died of possible brain tumors, then a few months later he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and also died of a brain tumor in 1984!,now his concern was the chemical spill from the docks, which apparantly filled their class room, with a white powder which they were told to just carry on regardless, what was the chemical?,did everyone exposed to it die of brain tumors?my father was convinced there was a link, following a little research at the time pre internet of corse, drew a blank, can anyone shed any light on this matter?i can find no records anywhere?
