green mail AYLMORE PH (Sep 09 Green)
My gt. grandfather Porter Hero AYLMORE died and is buried in Bosham in 1905. My grandfather George Heathfield AYLMORE was born there. Porter's second wife and George's mother Mary Sophia BLANN nee STARKE was from Freshwater IOW. I have info about his parents and would like confirmation of her parents John STARKE and Jane KINCHIN. Thanks, Maggie

red mail Another Clue (Feb 07 Red)
Continuing the Hill saga, Capt. Hill's wife died in 1920 aged 40, Isabella Dawson Hill. I now see that there was a Dawson family, George, 29, a house painter, B aged 30 and child GE aged 4 living in New Cottages in the 1901 census time. It is possible, but not certain, that the young Robert Charles Hill was sent to them. He also had a sister, Vivienne, but we don't know if she was with him. Please help if you can! Thank you.

red mail Hill correction (Feb 07 Red)
We have discovered that it was Capt. Hill's son, Robert Charles Hill (same name as himself) who was in Bosham. He must have been quite young. Can anyone say what The Skep, Sunnyway was? This was probably in the 1920s or 30s. Thank you. Ivy
