My GGGG Grandparents, Richard Foord HIGGINS and Rhoda BAILEY married at Bilsington on 14 September 1824. Richard was a member of the Aldington Gang of smugglers and was transported to Van Diemens Land in 1827, along with other gang members. I have quite a bit of information on the gang which I would be happy to share. Appreciate additional information on the HIGGINS family, in particular, as well as local history about Bonnington in the period from 1750 to 1830.
