Vincent Hodgson
(May 09 Green)
I'm looking for info on the famiy of my gg-grandfather, Vincent Hodgson b. 1807. There were 4 children named in the 1851 census, Havelock (1837), Jane (1839), Mary (1841) and Hannah (1949). The only children I have any additional info on are Hannah (my g-grandmother) and Havelock Hodgson who married Agnes Stewart of Gateshead in 1860. Havelock and his wife were traced to Northumberland in 1861 and I have no further info on his family. I have the birth certificate of Hannah and would like to obtain the birth certificate of Havelock as there is some confusion about the name of his mother. Hannah's certificate shows Elizabeth Havelock as her mother. Her name is on the census with the children. I have only been able to find a marriage certificate for Vincent Hodgson and Amelia Havelock in 1835. I would like to know the name of the mother on Havelock's birth certificate but as his birth occurred before registrations began, I am having difficulty finding this info. Does anyone have any knowledge of this family? If so, I would appreciate hearing from them.
