red mail Lear / Leear / Lowe / Picken (Sep 09 Red)
Looking for a Thomas Lear who married Susannah ? around 1818. I believe they had George bap 1819, John bap 1821, Anne Maria bap 1823, Thomas bap 1826 and Mary bap 1829, all baptised at Bilston. Thomas, a collier in 1819, must have died by 1833 as Susannah (a widow) married James PickEn in that year. George had several children by Harriet Lowe but for some reason they never married until 1872 when George was 52 (a bachelor) and Harriet was 54 (a spinster) George was a miner, living at Rough Hills when they married. Any information on George's parents, Thomas and Susannah ? would be much appreciated. Sue
