Barrington Cambridge, Allen Family (Jul 09 Green)
Looking for information on parents of Robert Allen and Mary Christmas, who were born around 1805 in Barrington, and married there in 1829. They had one child only, Robert Owen Allen born 1830 in Barrington, and eventually moved to Victoria Australia, in the Clunes district. According to Robert the elder's Death cert, they were John Allen (builder) and Mary Newlyn, but that is all I have I'm afraid. I have a bit about the Aussie family from there on, and am happy to share what I have.

I am researching Hardman's in Barrington. One branch has Eliza Hardman married to Richmond Allen and I believe they in turn had a son also called Richmond.

I have traced my family back to John Allen,born in 1710.Several generations lived there,and I believe still do. I am trying to establish if Richman Allen b.1816 was related to me. I think he ran the local pub at one time. If anyone has any information about any Allens I would be very interested.
