Philip was born in Barling 1836, son of James Daniels and Sarah Dowsett. Does anyone have any information on him or photographs. We are told he went to sea and he is missing from the 1851 and 1871 census. He died in 1923.

Edward Bright CATES illegitimately born 1817 at Barling probably to Sarah GATES, a 16y.o. servant and possibly sired by Edward BRIGHT. In 1839 at Prittlewell Edward CATES married Hannah THOMAS the daughter of William THOMAS and Charlotte and who wasborn in 1819 at Paglesham. Would like further information on ancestors from anyone researching these family names.
