John Pearce Hookway born abt. 1813 died in Bampton 1902, fathered sixteen children by two wives. Are any descendants still in the Bampton area? Also seeking descendants of the 1917 marriage between Lucy Hookway and Michael John Hayes.

1851 Census a Samuel 15 and James Knight 8 years old were with their Grand Mother Ann Endicott of Frog Lane Bampton. Any idea as to who the parents were of these Knight boys would help.

My great-great grandfather, George Knight, was born about 1829 in Bampton. I have no record of his parents' names or that of his wife. He had a son, my great-grandfather, William Frederick Knight, born in 1859. Does anyone know of any other members of the Knight family around those times?

George or Thomas Tarr b.1811 m.Mary b.1810 had children Eliza b.1842, George b.1843, William b.1846 and Diana or Dina b 1848. I have traced the line down through George 1843 to present day. Has anyone got any information on any of the other children?

Bampton - Style family (Sep 05 Red)
I have been doing a lot of research into Bampton records looking for the STYLE family. James style was vicar there in the 1650's; other Styles were licensed victuallers, cordwainers and peruke makers. They seem to have left the village by the mid 1800s. One of them was also governor of the workhouse in the 1700s. Any Style-related info would be welcome
