Seeking exchange of information and old photographs to assist in compiling Russ Family History in Australia:
William Henry Russ was born 23.8.1837 in Babcary, Somerset, England. He married his first Cousin Honour Chaffey, born 19.3.1838 in Tintinhull, Somerset, England, on 24.7.1860 in Tamworth Northern NSW, Australia. Both migrated to Australia on the Ship "Admiral Lyons" which arrived in Sydney on 30th December, 1858. William Henry Russ and Honor had eleven children all born in Tamworth Northern NSW: (1) Eliza Russ baptised 24.7.1860, (2) William Henry Russ, born 1861, married Emily Eliza Crotty, (3) Samuel Adolphus Russ born 24.10.1863, died 17.2.1923 buried at Turkey Creek, West Aust, married NSW 10.12.1888 to Clara Jane Crotty born 1867. (4) Emily 27.3.1865, (5) Charles Edward Russ, born 22.6.1866, died 20.11.1867 Tamworth, (6) Honor Sophia Russ born 1.5.1868, (7) Elizabeth Russ born 27.8.1869, (8) Louisa Russ born 20.7.1871, (9) Frederick Charles Russ born 17.3.1873, died 28.8.1889 Tamworth, (10) Stenza or Thirza Ellen Russ born 30.9.1874, (11) Edward Joseph Robert Russ, born 14.10.1879. William Henry Russ also had a further child to his second wife Margaret Hooker who he married on 3 September, 1895, named John Sugg Russ born 1898 in Tamworth Northern NSW.
William Henry Russ born 1861, “Babcary Farm”, Tamworth, NSW, Australia, died 16 Jul 1919, Tamworth, son of William Henry Russ and Honor Chaffey. William married Emily Eliza Crotty born 23 Dec 1865, Uralla, NSW, died 14 Sep 1938. They had the following children:
