Mahala BARKER
(Feb 08 Green)
Mahala BARKER married Joseph NUTTING around 1835, just before the BMD records began. Mahala was born about 1813 and Joseph about 1793 - quite an age gap! I think Joseph died in 1868 aged 75. I think Mahala died in 1899 aged 86. The family have strong links to Ashdon and Saffron Walden in general as well as Poplar. Mahala and Joseph had a son James - James had a son Albert Edward who was my great-grandfather. I am especially interested in the background to the name Mahala and a possible date of marriage for Mahala and Joseph.

BRAZIER - ASHDON
(Feb 08
Red)
I'm looking for information about BRAZIERs in ASHDON, Essex in the late 1600s/early 1700s. In Helions Bumpstead, I have a Mark BRAZIER (1704-1752) married Elizabeth CHALLIS (1709-1766) on 25 Nov 1729. I have been given a hint that his father may be a Joseph BRAZIER from Ashdon, mother Sarah from RADWINTER. Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks.
