I am searching for information about William Morris born in Wales 1747/48. Lived, married and died in Ashby Magna. Believed to have come from Wales with the drovers. Died in 1821. Married o Ann Lenton.

Sleath (Dec 04 Red)
In 1637 Robert Sleath died young, leaving a wife and children. He was a butcher, left no Will, but an interesting inventory was made at the time. This was signed by 3 men, one being William Musson. Musson , a widower married Sleath's widow. Is anyone researching this family, by chance? I am looking for a connection with Grimston, N.E Leics. Sleaths and Mussons are also residents there in the 17th century

Jones of Ivy House Farm (Dec 04 Red)
Does anyone have information concerning the Welsh immigrant family of Edward Jones? They came from Carms. S. Wales around 1890, settled in Ashby Magna. Their daughter, Margaret married my grandfather William Evans, born Carms.S.Wales.He lived with his family at Holt Farm, Walton by Kimcote. Also came from Wales around 1890 and never returned to Wales.

Carter (Nov 04 Red)
Wanting info on Anna (or Anne) Carter who was a servant in the home of the local vicar Edmund Willes in 1881. She later married Joseph Woodward from Gilmorton.
