green mail Turner family, Ashbury (Aug 09 Green)
My grandmother (Emily Louisa Turner) married David Johnson at Ashbury in 1900. Her parents were Thomas James Turner and Sarah Ann Wheeler, both originally from Bishopstone, and later were living (and died)in Woolstone. I would like to be able to trace further back than James and Katherine Turner who appear in the Bishopstone registers in 1787. They were my great-great-great-great grandparents. I would like to know where James was born , also Katherine's surname. It is possible that I may have info. of use to anyone researching Turners in similar villages.
