green mail Moss family of Ascott (Oct 09 Green)
Anyone researching the Moss family in Ascott? I am researching Tabitha Moss who , in the census, says she was born in Ascott, Oxfordshire c1797 . I haven't found a baptism. She married William Green on 19th March 1823 in Kingham, Oxfordshire . I have found 3 children March b 1829, Mary b 1831 nd Charles b1834, all born in Cheltenham Gloucs . There may have been some chidren born between 1823 and 1829, but I haven't found any records yet.

Fanny Honeybone of Ascott was my great grandmother, she was one of the Ascott Martyrs. I would love to hear from anyone who is related to any of these people. many of my family also emigrated to New Zealand with some perishing on the ship Cospatrick.

Mary had siblings: Ann b. 1847 who mar. Walter Coombes. George b. 1849. Rebecca b. 1851. Ruth b.1856. Naomi b. 1859. Father was Robert b. abt. 1823. Any information about the BARNES family greatly appreciated.

I am looking for any connections with my great Grandmother Clara Smith (born in Ascott under Wychwood in 1851. Her father was Emanuel Smith (born 1823) and her mother was Rose Ann. I believe that Emanuel's father was John Smith and his wife's name was Mary. Clara married Richard Shillam in 1869 and Charles was born in 1869 and Fanny Shillam, my grandmother, in 1870.
