Looking for my grandfather John Fyfe's ancestors. He was born at 16 Perth Street, Anderston, Glasgow in 1869. His father was James Fyfe who married Agnes McLean. John's cousins (McLeans) were living in Bute in the 1890s.

Isabella McArthur and John Begley lived at 75 McAlpine St Anderston, they lived there with there children James,Alexander,John and Archibald..after John died in 1855 they moved to 15 McAlpine St where just Isabella and Archibald lived. Isabella died in Jan 1869 and Archibald died in May 1869..can anyone help confirming this family??? thanks Karen

I am seeking any information on George Traill and Elizabeth Henderson they had a third child William born 12th Dec. 1840. in Anderston, George was an Iron moulder in Anderston. Their son William moved to Heworth in Co. Durham as a widower and remarried 15th Nov.1868 in Heworth to Hannah Richardson. William died in Gateshead,11th May1912 age 72.

Parents were listed as Archibald Campbell and Mary McColl, witnesses John McColl and Donald Campbell (brother to Archibald). Need to confirm this information and cross reference with my other entries under other villages/towns.
