red mail Pretty Pigs, Amington (Jul 08 Red)
Has anybody any information on the history of the above. my grandparents ran it in the 1940/50's. They were Henry and Millicent Cashmore. I know they were there during the war. Henry was awarded a Royal Humane Society certificate for saving someone in the canal or lake at the back of the pub. Any info would be appreciated.

red mail Home of the Martyrs (Apr 07 Red)
The VCH gives this name to 8 The Green. What martyrs? I can find no record of any.
