Hellyer
(Aug 10
Red)
Hello there,
I am looking for information on my mother's birth.
My mother's maiden name was Hellyer and she was a twin, she also had other twin siblings. My grandmother apparently had 3 sets of twins but I am unable to find out anything about them.
I am assuming that multiple births to any one family were quite rare.
My mother was born about 1909.
If anyone has any information about this, I would be extremey grateful.
Best wishes and thank you in anticipation.

Henry Saurin, Edith Carter - Alverstoke
(Jul 10
Red)
Can anyone help me solve a riddle please. Eugene Saurin married an Edith A Carter in Portsmouth in 1883 and they later seperated after having 2 sons ( Eugene & Ralph ). I have found the death of a Henry Saurin in Alverstoke in 1/4 to June 1911 aged 23 but I can't find his birth anywhere. however I have found the birth of a Henry "Carter" in 1888 in Portsmouth - could this be a 3rd son born after the seperation and registered in his mothers name? To add to the confusion I have also found a birth 3 months after Henry's death in the 1/4 to Sept 1911 of a Henry A Saurin in Portsmouth with mothers name of Warwick given. Could this be my mystery Henry's ( 1888-1911 )son ? I can not find a marriage for Saurin/Warwick and I can not find a marriage or death recorded for Henry A between 1911 -1950 ? Any help or clues would be much appreciated

Barnicoat
(May 09
Red)
Looking for information on Albert Barnicoat. Married in 1910 to Maud Mary. He was reportedly in the Artillery but may have been a Royal Marine gunner as he was stationed at Devonport? He shows in the 1911 census as being in Alverstoke but this was where his parents lived. Maybe he used his home address in the census.
