Looking for info on Thomas Hutchinson Born circa 1805 in Nenthead . Lived from 1851 census at Fairhill at Alston .Was a Lead Miner .Wife was Mary Havelock? and had the following children .John B1834, Robert B1845, Mary Ann B1847, Thomas Havelock B1848, Elizabeth B1851, William Henry B1855, Isabella B1857, Hannah B1857. Believed Isabella went to Canada circa 1880 and William went in 1909..Thomas Havelock Hutchinson was on the 1891 census in Newport monmouthshire as a Pianomaker with his brother Thomas and Thomas,s wife Mary (unknown)Born in Dublin, and in 1901 Thomas is living with Williams widow Mary at same address.. Although William married in 1894 to a Ida Lobeck in 1897 married Ida again .. Any body else looking at Hutchinsons from Alston would like some help as most of the other children vanished ..and the Hutchinsons is a very common name in Cumberland....Thanks

I am looking into the Lee family of Alston as my great grandmother was Robina Mary Rule Lee (later Timney) she was born in about 1875 and was the grandaughter of George Rule, i beleive william Lee may have been married to Mary Rule born 1850 - long shot but if anyone has any info on the Lee family i would be really greatfull, i have the census records for 1841-91 and will hopefully soon have Robinas birth certificate but any info on the lee family would be great. thanks suzie

John William Joseph Stephenson was my great, great grandfather. He was born in Nenthead in 1829; married Mary Ann Hornsby on March 11, 1852 at the Red Wing and Low Chapel in Alston. Then, they emmigrated to Canada, to Ontario. I am trying to find: (1) information regarding their emmigration (what ship might they have taken, etc.) and (2) any other information about the life in and around Alston. John's parents were Henry Stephenson (b. 1796) and Phyllis Pearson, (b. 1800). Does anyone know anytihng baout these folks?

William Richardson married Ann Fawcett 02/07/821 in Alston - Ann born 1822 in Alston, married William Waugh from Knarsdale in 1841, possibly Scotland, emigrated with children to Australia in 1855. Any info re my 3 x gr grandparents, William & Ann Richardson would be appreciated.
